Clients will enter the Main Clinic entrance with our typical screening method and wait in the Main Lobby while maintaining Social Distancing.
One of the main decisions to run the clinic in mid-October is to create the most effective coverage that the vaccine allows. Typically, immunity takes affect about 3 weeks after vaccination. Waning occurs 90-120 days after vaccination. Our hope is to offer immunity for people through the late Fall and late Winter months as well as possible.
We have Fluarix Quadrivalent for 6 month of age and older and Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent for adults 65+. The community will be updated with any changes. We are encouraging everyone to receive the Flu Shot this year as we try to reduce respiratory illness moving into 2021
At the time of this article, the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommends vaccination be deferred for persons with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, regardless of whether they have symptoms, until they have met the criteria to discontinue their isolation in order to diminish risk of spread to others at sites of vaccination.
